LITTLE FALLS, NJ – West Essex scored a touchdown less than a minute into the game and went on to post its second consecutive shutout, 14-0, over Passaic Valley on Saturday night.

Anthony Drago's interception on Passaic Valley's first offensive play of the game gave West Essex possession on the PV 1-yard line.

On the next play, Mike Lozito plowed into the end zone and Rob Warmington kicked the extra point to give the Knights (5-1) a 7-0 lead.

Late in the first quarter, Jake Long went long to Drago for an 81-yard TD pass and Warmington again converted the placement to extend West Essex' lead to 14-0.

West Essex gets a bye next weekend before resuming play with another tough road game against Hanover Park (currently 5-0) on Oct. 18.
