On Thursday June 11th, we had the honor of recognizing one of the greatest student-athletes to ever represent West Essex High School - Anthony Drago.
In 2025, Anthony etched his name into West Essex history by breaking the boys lacrosse career scoring record, a milestone that represents years of dedication, relentless work, and an unmatched commitment to our program.
Anthony’s accomplishments speak for themselves:
🥍 251 career goals — the most in West Essex lacrosse history
🥍 12 goals in a single game — a West Essex record
🥍 377 career points — the most in program history
Beyond the numbers, Anthony’s impact on West Essex Lacrosse cannot be measured. He set a new standard of excellence and inspired future generations of Knights.
Anthony continues his success at the next level with Duke Lacrosse. Seeing one of our own compete on one of the biggest stages in college athletics brought incredible pride to the entire West Essex community.
Anthony, thank you for everything you have done for West Essex Boys Lacrosse. Your legacy will continue to inspire our athletes for years to come and your plaque will forever be showcased in our hallways.

Our Boys Tennis Individual State Champion - Rohan Vyas!! On Saturday June 6th and Sunday June 7th, Rohan defeated the #1 and #2 seeds in the NJSIAA tournament to capture the first ever Individual State Championship in West Essex History! Please consider joining us when we play AT Caldwell on January 11th, at 1pm. This year we are honoring, and celebrating the life of Fairfield Police Officer James Ciampi, a West Essex alumni. James tragically passed away from cancer in September. Over the years, as a basketball team we have learned that cancer affects not only the person, but the family and the community as well. We hope to continue to extend our impact on and off the court. Donations will be collected at the door. Thank you.
