With the 2024 field hockey season approaching, NJ Advance Media put together an extensive look at the active and all-time leaders in coaching victories.

Today, the spotlight shines on active head coaches.

Many of them have been in charge of their respective programs for over 20 years and nearly a dozen currently have a top 50 spot on the all-time list.

Here are the top 20 leaders in active coaching wins prior to the start of the 2024 season.


558 - Jill Cosse, West Essex
Cosse owns a magical winning percentage of 90 since taking over West Essex in 1997. It wasn’t easy taking over for the legendary Linda Alimi, who coached for 30 years herself, but Cosse has kept West Essex’s name in the discussion of the top programs in the state.
